Course Pricing

CHL training classes offered by others are priced in various ways, many only charging the cost for the class itself.

When you take your CHL training with The Academy for Firearms Training, everything required for your TX CHL training is included in the $139 price, except fingerprints.

CHL renewal classes are only $99.00.

Third renewal classes* are only $35.00.
(*After you originally obtained your CHL and you have already renewed twice after that.)

Here are some of the things we do for you that many other "bargain" CHL schools do not do for you:

• We take your picture and it is included in our price.
• We notarize your documents and it is included in our price.

Don't wast your time running around town before you can submit your paperwork to the state. When you consider our prices, consider the time it takes to do these things yourself.

Again, at The Academy for Firearms Training, everything required for your TX CHL training is included in the price. We:

• take your photograph,
• notarize your paperwork,
• qualify you on our own range,
• provide use of one of our handguns for qualification,
• provide all ammunition, targets, and shooting safety equipment.

...as well as coffee and a snack before class!.

In other words, by the time you finish your one-day class, your paperwork is ready to mail. We even look over your forms, assemble them, and put them in your envelope, ready to mail to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) along with you state fee. We also sell everything you need in our store, including guns, holsters, fanny packs, ammunition, gun safes, gun cleaning kits, self-defense sprays, clothing, books and videos, and more.
