CHL training classes offered by others are priced in various ways, many only charging the cost for the class itself.

When you take your CHL training with The Academy for Firearms Training, everything required for your TX CHL training is included in the $139 price.

CHL renewal classes are only $89.00.

Third renewal classes* are only $25.00.
(*After you originally obtained your CHL and you have already renewed twice after that.)

What this means is that with some other training facilities YOU have to go to a police station and pay to get finger printed. YOU have to go somewhere and pay to have your photos taken. YOU have to take the paperwork to a Notary Public and pay for the notarization of the documents. And that probably means that YOU will have to take time off from work. Not a real bargain is it?

Again, at The Academy for Firearms Training, everything required for your TX CHL training is included in the price. We do the fingerprinting, take your photographs, notarize your paperwork, and qualify you on our own range. That also includes the use of one of our handguns for qualification, plus all ammunition, targets, and shooting safety equipment. (...as well as coffee and a snack before class!).

In other words, by the time you finish your one-day class, your paperwork is ready to mail. We even look over your forms, assemble them, and put them in your envelope, ready to mail to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) along with you state fee. We also sell everything you need in our store, including guns, holsters, fanny packs, ammunition, gun safes, gun cleaning kits, self-defense sprays, clothing, books and videos, and more.
